Professional titles are only assigned after credentials are verified. Titles such as Accountant, CPA, Chartered Accountant, Tax Professional, or Auditor are used only when the individual's actual credentials support the title.

Professional Development

VARISUM Accounting Practice Standards

A shared set of operating standards every Authorized professional and firm completes. Finishing all modules earns the Certificate in VARISUM Accounting Practice Standards — a professional development credential, not a statutory accounting certification or license.

Important

What VARISUM authorization does — and does not — mean

Authorization means

Approval to participate in the VARISUM Accounting Alliance and use approved VARISUM affiliation, subject to ongoing credential verification and adherence to the VARISUM Accounting Practice Standards.

Authorization does not grant

  • Professional licensing or government registration
  • Statutory audit authority
  • Tax-advisor authority
  • Employment, partnership, or agency
  • Guaranteed projects, referrals, or income

Tax preparation, filing, and regulated tax advice are provided only where VARISUM or the participating professional is appropriately qualified or authorized. Where required, VARISUM coordinates with qualified local professionals.

Apply

Start your VARISUM authorization

Tell us about yourself or your firm. We will follow up with the next steps to verify your credentials and complete the Practice Standards.

Submitting prepares an email application. Authorization begins only after the application is actually sent and reviewed. Credential verification and the applicable annual authorization fee are required before a profile can be published.
